Filament

I was up earlier than usual today and I decided to look around the backyard for anything interesting. It just so happened that the sunlight was streaming through the leaves of a tree, directly to this outdoor light bulb hanging on the gazebo. I took shots from different angles and distances, but this one is my favorite.

I love how the filament mechanism seems to capture the sun light, as if that’s where it gets its energy from…

I also love the netting behind the bulb. It adds to the texture of the photo, I think.

Do you know how light bulbs work? I think I learned it at one point, but now I’ll probably have to look that one up. Haha.

Now, let’s start the linky party!

  1. Janice,

DH explained how a light bulb works before and I basically know but I certainly don’t feel comfortable with my knowledge to share it with others. When I first looked at it my mind was thinking of a honeycomb in a bee hive. What is that? At first glance, the filament resembled a mosquito before I realized what it was. 🙂 Totally interesting shot!

    1. Thank you. I’m not all confident in my light bulb knowledge either. Haha. Oh and it’s the bug netting/curtain that’s draped on the sides of the gazebo. 😁

BTW, thanks for stopping by. See you again next week!
